Aston Villa look set to end Gareth Barry's exile, as the player is due to return for pre-season action for the Villains. Arsenal and Liverpool have both made moves for the England international midfielder.

A statement on the club's official website read: "The club can confirm that Gareth Barry will be back in training at Bodymoor Heath tomorrow (Wednesday)."
