Ferdinand no to Newcastle

16 July 2008 - 10:39

West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand has reportedly been in discussions with Newcastle United with regard to a permanent move to St. James Park, but last night pulled out of negotations.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • It is not yet understood why Rio Ferdinand's brother decided to pull out of talks, but there are some rumours that two other Premiership sides - one believed to be Tottenham - have made a concrete offer for the England international hopeful.

Ferdinand is valued by his club West Ham in the region of around £6 million, and the Hammers are believed to be ready to allow him the chance to leave.
