Argentina international defender Fabricio Coloccini has been linked with a shock move from Deportivo La Coruna to Newcastle United. It is understood that Kevin Keegan is to make an offer for the centre back.

Real Madrid and Barcelona too are supposedly interested in the player, but the player's agent, Marcelo Lombilla, poured scorn on such rumours, insisting that only Newcastle were the only club to make an offer for the player.



“The only offer that I received is from Newcastle, which I communicated (to Deportivo),” Lombilla told AS.
