Baptista eyes Real stay

28 July 2008 - 17:02

Real Madrid forward Julio Baptista has no intentions of leaving the club; despite the interests of Newcastle and Galatasaray in the Brazilian frontman. Baptista is valued at around £9 million by the Spaniards.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • 'My aim is playing for Real Madrid more often than in the last season, showing my value as a footballer to the fans,' said Baptista.

'I’m going to fight and we’ll see how this ends. I’m thinking of playing, showing what I can do. It’s difficult to show my real level throughout the season without playing continuously, but I know for sure what my future is.'
