Villa, Silva Out Of Mestalla?

Villa, Silva Out Of Mestalla?

30 July 2008 - 14:19

Spanish club Valencia are still toying with the possibility of letting some of their major stars leave this summer in order to alleviate the pressure on their financial conditions.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Valencia are in a tight position after failing last season to qualify for this season's UEFA Champions League and are being touted to release some of their top stars.

Both David Villa and David Silva have been linked with moves away from the Mestalla. While Silva has been linked with Atletico Madrid and Liverpool, Villa has been linked with Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester United.

Valencia vice-president Fernando Gomez has now admitted that the club might just have to review any offers that come along for either of the two players. Valencia have always maintained that they do not want to sell the duo but they have confessed that a huge offer could force the players off their hands.

"On a sporting level, who wouldn't want to count on them?" he told Valencian newspaper Las Provincias.

"I will do everything possible so that they continue with us, the president also has that intention, but we are going to wait.

"I also have no offer on the table, although I will study all those that arrive for any player."
