23 September 2007 - 13:08

Aston Villa's Dutch defender Wilfred Bouma is to be offered a new deal. The player's contract expires at the end of next season and has impressed Martin O'Neill enough to consider offering a new contract.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Bouma agent's Ger Lagendijk confirmed talks over a two-year extension were due to take place in the near future.

"The club wants to reward his development with a contract renewal," said Lagendijk. "Negotiations will begin later this month or in October."
