Real Madrid striker Ruud van Nistelrooy has ruled out a potential move to Man City. It is understood that the Citizens made a transfer deadline day move for the Holland international forward.

“I’m very happy at Real Madrid and I want to stay in Spain, meaning that there’s no reason to worry for the United fans,” said Ruud van Nistelrooy.



It had been rumoured that the Dutchman had been linked with a move to Man City.



However, the club opted to swoop for Robinho for £32.5 million instead.
