Sunderland striker Kenwyne Jones is confident that he can return to action before October. The player picked up the injury on international duty for Trinidad and Tobago back in July.
"I'm trying to get fit for the Fulham game (October 18)," Jones told the Northern Echo.
"I went from having a bad injury, to it scaling down, this means I could return much earlier than first feared.
"I am starting to run again and that is a big relief because it has been frustrating having to sit out the past few weeks."
