David Moyes is expected to pen a new deal at Goodison Park. The manager has seen a disappointing start to the season at Everton, but is keen to extend his current deal.
The boss admitted he was disappointed to be out of the UEFA Cup so early on, but vowed to stay at the club.
Moyes said at the weekend: "Hopefully it will be next week.
"We didn't quite get a chance to do it this week so I'm looking forward to doing it next week some time."
