AC Milan supremo Adriano Galliani has revealed that Ronaldinho rejected a huge five year contract at Manchester City to join his club instead.
Galliani said: 'At one stage everything seemed to have fallen through because Barcelona wanted to send him to England.
'Ronaldinho had a gigantic five-year contract offer from City. Our three-year offer was a lot less than the one proposed by City but it became only a little lower because of what Ronaldinho gave up on.
'In this respect he chose a road that is rarely travelled. He came here because he wants to be number one again.'
