Chelsea have released 15 out of their 25 strong scouting network as the effects of the credit crunch start to hit some of the Premiership's top sides. Frank Arnesen has decided to reduce some of his scouting network, and take on the load himself.
"We are restructuring our scouting network and we are refocusing our attention on key targets rather than the existing wider approach," confirmed a spokesman for the club.
Rainer Bonhoff was one of the more high profile exits from Stamford Bridge, and there have been reports that Abramovich wished to reaffirm Frank Arnesen's position with the club.
