Barcelona midfielder Xavi remains confident that he will agree a new deal with the club. The Euro 2008 player of the tournament is in discussions with the club.

"Surely we will reach an agreement, because that is what we want on both sides. I have always said that I want to continue here. My dream is to retire at Barca," said Xavi.



"I remain confident. The club has never said they want to sell me."
