Lyon are rumoured to be ready to make David Trezeguet the short-term successor to Karim Benzema, who is expected to make a move to La Liga in the next couple of years.

It is understood that France international striker Benzema hinted that a move could be happening shortly, and Lyon are ready to replace him as soon as possible.



David Trezeguet has been mooted as the first-choice successor, and Lyon could be set to pay £5 million to land the Juventus forward in the summer.
