Arsenal have confirmed that Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky has undergone further surgery on his troubled injury. The player was in Germany for further rehabilitation. There had previously been been fears that Rosicky's career and future could well be in jeapordy.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • An Arsenal statement read: "On Monday, Tomas Rosicky underwent routine revision surgery in Germany.

"The operation went as planned and Tomas will now spend at least a few weeks convalescing in Germany.

"Thereafter, he will follow a tailored rehabilitation programme devised by our medical team.

"We are not pessimistic about the future of his career, but we still need more patience.

"If he comes back before Christmas we have done very well, but I think we can achieve that, so in December he can play again."
