Juventus to bid for Elano?

Juventus to bid for Elano?

13 November 2008 - 05:51

Juventus boss Claudio Ranieri could make a shock move for Brazilian midfielder Elano. The Manchester City player is apparently growing rapidly frustrated with his lack of opportunity at the club, and is looking for a quick exit if his first-team place is not restored.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Elano is valued by his club in excess of £10 million, despite the fact that Mark Hughes is growing very frustrated with the former Shakhtar Donetsk man. Hughes still wants Elano to try harder and battle for a first team place.

However, a move to 'the Old Lady' would certainly appeal to Elano, who last season proved that he is a player of very high calibre.

The one stumbling block for any move could be the hefty price tag that Man City have slapped on the player, and Claudio Ranieri, the Juventus boss, has a very small budget.
