West Brom could be set to make a shock move for French full back Pascal Chimbonda. The Sunderland defender could be allowed to leave the club after reportedly failing to impress in his opening few months at the club.
West Bromwich Albion are prepared to spend around £4.5 million to bring Chimbonda to the club, and this would recoup some of the fee that Sunderland paid for the player only this summer when he joined from Tottenham.
Roy Keane is expecting a squad clear out in January, and Chimbonda could be the first to be on his way.
