Wigan chase Cristian Benitez

Wigan boss Steve Bruce has admitted he is interested in signing Ecuador international striker Cristian Benitez. The player is valued around the figure of £5 million.

Bruce said of Benitez, 22: “We’ve had a look and we like him.”



Benitez is currently playing in Mexico with Santos Laguna, and Wigan's scouts have been monitoring the player for some time.



Bruce could make a move for Benitez during the January transfer window.
