van Bommel to Liverpool?

Liverpool have been lined up with a move for Dutch international midfielder Mark van Bommel this January transfer window. The player is currently at Bayern Munich but Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is keen to bring in some new blood in January.

van Bommel is valued by his club Bayern Munich at around £7 million, and is a consistent performer for the Bavarian giants.



However, van Bommel always hinted that his long term goal was to play in the Premiership, and the centre midfielder could now get his dream move.



Bayern Munich are understood to be disappointed at hearing the news that the player wishes to leave the club for the Premiership.
