Bolton eased the pressure on manager Sammy Lee thanks to an extra time goal from Stelios to send the side into the last 16. Danny Guthrie gave Bolton the lead, before a David Healy reponse levelled the scores. Stelios was the hero in extra time to finish the game 2-1.

  • Sammy Lee had reportedly been told Bolton had to win their next two games in order for him to stay in charge. His side responded late, but in the best way possible.



    Stelios made the decisive breakthrough with eight minutes left, after shoving defender Paul Konchesky off the ball and netting past Keller to book Bolton's place in Saturday's draw for the next round.
