Villarreal goalkeeper Diego Lopez has ruled out leaving the Yellow Submarines, despite the reported interest of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

"It is nice that teams such as Barcelona notice me, but I am already at a large club and I want to continue improving here and doing things well for Villarreal for a long time," he said.



"Last year things were mentioned and there was already a contract renewal. I am very happy here and I clarified that before."



Diego Lopez has been a star performer for Villarreal since displacing Sebastien Viera in the first-team.
