Saviola rejects Portsmouth

Saviola rejects Portsmouth

19 January 2009 - 09:48

Real Madrid's unwanted striker Javier Saviola is apparently a target for Portsmouth. Tony Adams has signalled his intent to bring in Javier Saviola as a replacement for Jermain Defoe, but apparently the Argentinian rejected the approach.

  • Chelsea beat Inter Milan to sign £47m Italian star
  • Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target
  • It is understood that Saviola is instead keen on a move back to either his homeland, or a larger Premiership club.

Some of the names mentioned include Man City, but once the Citizens sign Kaka they will turn their attentions away from the former River Plate man.

It is believed that Juventus are interested in the diminutive playmaker.
