Coventry not interested in Chhetri

Coventry City has announced that they will not continue their interest in Indian striker Sunil Chhetri. This is a bad news for Indian football fans who want to see their players playing in European football clubs.

  • Coventry City today announced that Sunil Chhetri will not be part of their club anymore. The young Indian striker was on trials and trained with the Sky Blues for a few days.



    Chris Coleman, the Coventry boss, said that he will not be following up their interest in the 24-year old.



    He said : "I understand he has a big reputation in India, he has come in and has done well. But, we won't be following up our initial interest."



    Sunil Chhetri has scored 15 international goals for India in 34 matches. He currently plays for East Bengal FC.
