David James has revealed that he would love to see Mexico boss Sven-Goran Eriksson at Portsmouth in the wake of the departure of Tony Adams last week.
Eriksson had previously hinted that he had no intentions of leaving his current job at Mexico until 2010.
"Somebody of his calibre would be a tremendous acquisition for us,'' James said. "Having a former England manager as manager of Portsmouth I'm sure is something that the fans would never have envisaged.''
