England captain and man of the match John Terry believed that his side deserved to defeat Ukraine 2-1 in the World Cup qualifier on Wednesday. Terry scored the late winner to secure the victory.
"I think we deserved the win overall," said Terry.
"It was great to get the late goal and to come back and win the game.
"It was a great header back from Stevie Gerrard and it was very satisfying to get the goal that gave us the win.
"There were many positives to take from the game - I am delighted.
"The lads showed great fight and desire when it got to 1-1. We wanted to push on and win the game.
