The Italian giants, Juventus, are reportedly interested in replacing a Man City bound Gigi Buffon with Udinese custodian Samir Handanovic.

  • Juventus are speculated to be closely watching the Slovenian international, Handanovic, to take over the goal keeping reigns from Buffon. Handanovic plays for Udinese, though he had been loaned out to Lazio and Rimini in the last two seasons.

He had impressive performances in the Serie B with Rimini, helping them to finish fifth in the league. His contract runs until the end of 2011 season.

Meanwhile, reports say that Man City are back in track to lure Buffon out of Juve. With a hefty price tag of £50m, Buffon is not so cheap even though he is not young.
