Pamungkas to Birmingham?

Pamungkas to Birmingham?

15 May 2009 - 08:37

Indonesian international footballer, Bambang Pamungkas, is reportedly a target for Birmingham City, newly promoted to the Premiership. It is understood that City boss, Alex McLeish, is willing to take a gamble on the striker's talent.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Pamungkas was linked with a sensational move to Derby County over a year and a half ago, but a deal failed to materialise after Derby County were relegated to the Championship.

Now it appears that Birmingham City are interested in the 28 year old. City have always been renowned for taking a gamble on players, and the Persija Jakarta frontman is now being lined up for a shock move.

It is believed that a deal will initially be on loan, much like the deal that took Mauro Zarate on loan last year.
