Chilean international defender Waldo Ponce has been linked with a shock move to newly-promoted Premiership side Birmingham City in the summer transfer window.
Ponce is currently playing for Argentinian top flight side Velez Sarsfield, but has not hidden his desire of returning to European football.
Ponce spent some time playing for Wolfsburg - the current Bundesliga champions - and now Birmingham are ready to pay £3.2 million to land the Chilean international who has over 20 caps to his name.
