Wigan are ready to spend some of the money they will receive for Antonio Valencia to buy fellow Ecuadorian international, Christian Benitez, according to reports.

The Ecuadorian striker, currently at Mexican side Santos Laguna, has shown over the last two seasons he is a brilliant striker with an eye for goal.



The player was even awarded the MVP of the Mexican league last year; helping his side to a championship.



Now Wigan will spend £8 million in order to lure the forward to the JJB Stadium in the summer.
