  • Martin Jol publicly announced his desire to return to Premier League although he is enjoying huge success in Bundesliga with Hamburg set to qualify for Copa Europa next season. The sources close to him say that Jol would be the boss of Sunderland next season if they manage to avoid relegation.

The Cats' chairman Niall Quinn favors Martin Jol as the current boss Ricky Sbragia wants to coach the club rather than being the manager. Quinn has reportedly promised major investment in the summer once they survive the relegation test.
