Roberto Martinez has snubbed an offer from Celtic to join Wigan as their new boss. Wigan's boss, Steve Bruce, will move to Sunderland after Ricky Sbragia stepped down.
Wigan will have to pay £2.5m in compensation to Swansea for signing Roberto Martinez who had four years left in his contract with the Championship team. But, they will get £3m from Sunderland for Steve Bruce.
Celtic wanted Martinez to replace Gordon Strachan, but, he snubbed them to go back to his old club. Martinez had played for Wigan for six years in the 1990s.
The Spaniard encourages a fluid style of play which helped Swansea with a play-off slot, leading them to League One title in his first full season.
