Ben Sahar joins Espanyol

Chelsea have allowed 18 year old Israeli striker Ben Sahar to continue his career elsewhere, after accepting a £1 million offer for the player from Spanish side Espanyol.

Sahar agreed terms quickly with the Spanish club, and will link up with his new team mates in 3 weeks for pre-season training.



Sahar was believed to be nowhere near ready for first team action at Chelsea, but it is decided that he should be allowed to try his hand elsewhere after the club admitted it was to be difficult for the player to dislodge the likes of Didier Drogba from the first-team.
