Tottenham outcast Didier Zokora has been linked with a move up north to Sunderland. It is understood that Steve Bruce would like to bring the Ivory Coast holding midfielder to the club in a £6 million deal.
Zokora has found his opportunities limited at White Hart Lane since the arrival of Palacios, and would now like to move elsewhere.
His agent Rachel Anderson talked up a move and said: 'Didier would like to stay in the Premier League and it would we quite a new challenge, coming straight from France to London then to go to the north-east.
'That would be a different challenge and with the passion you get around Sunderland, a great experience for any player. I would be surprised if he didn't look on it favourably, but that rather depends on the clubs involved.'
