Cassano agent cools Inter interest

Cassano agent cools Inter interest

30 July 2009 - 07:53

Italian star Antonio Cassano's agent has cooled talk of an imminent move from Sampdoria to Inter Milan. According to reports, Jose Mourinho was interested in bringing the player to the club for a fee in the region of about £15 million.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • Cassano had a wonderful year for his club Sampdoria last year and has impressed since returning from his horror spell at Real Madrid.

“We know that there is interest from Inter and we are flattered,” Cassano's agent Bozzo told Sky Sport.

“But you can only play 11 men and Inter already have great champions. Antonio wants to be a first-teamer at the moment because of the upcoming World Cup.

“He has matured considerably and is ready for a big team, but there is just a bit of appreciation from Inter at the moment, nothing more.”
