Real Madrid are moving a step closer to landing French full back Gael Clichy, according to reports. It is understood that the Arsenal man would be allowed to leave the club if the Madrid side offer £16 million.

Clichy is amongst one of Wenger's first names on the team sheet, and should £16 million be offered Arsene Wenger would entertain discussions.
