Bordeaux are reportedly ready to make Jimmy Briand their own if they lose Chamakh to Arsenal this January. Bordeaux will offer £5 million for the Rennes frontman.

Briand is regarded by many to be one of the most underrated strikers in Ligue 1.



He is a speedy, excellent dribbler of the ball, who has shown bags of talent in his eight year spell with Rennes.



Laurent Blanc has admitted that he is a big fan of Briand.
