Aiden McGeady stays at Celtic

16 January 2010 - 06:55

Celtic have rejected talk that Aiden McGeady would be leaving the club in the coming weeks. There had been rumours that the winger would be allowed to leave the club for £8 million.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • McGeady revealed: "The numbers you mention are ridiculously small numbers. You say ridiculously high numbers, I say ridiculously small numbers. We're not interested in listening to bids for our players unless we're looking to move certain ones on.

"This club is not in need of money. People leave because of their contractual situation or if I want them to leave, basically. There's no need for us to accept or listen to any bids we don't want. In terms of the player you mentioned, we're not interested in any bids. People are wasting their time phoning."
