Schwarzer to join Arsenal?

03 June 2010 - 08:32

Fulham shotstopper Mark Schwarzer - reportedly top of Arsene Wenger's shopping list this summer - could be a step closer to joining Arsenal, according to reports. The 37 year old keeper has enjoyed an excellent year at Craven Cottage.

  • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
  • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
  • Press reports indicate that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has offered the 37-year-old shot stopper a 1 year deal to come to the Emirates.

It is not understood whether the move would be as a backup goalkeeper at this time.

However, Schwarzer only this week was coy on suggestions he would be quitting Fulham: "I haven't heard anything other than what's been said or written in the papers, so it's purely speculative at the moment."
