An elbow fracture has put Didier Drogba out of the World Cup this summer, and put the Ivory Coast's plans of success into huge doubt. Drogba was rushed to hospital immediately.

Drogba has told his Ivory Coast team mate Kolo Toure that he is likely to miss out on the showpiece tournament that starts in six days.



Drogba has been in sensational form for Chelsea this year and it is a huge shame that he cannot showcase his talents in what is likely to be his last chance of playing in a World Cup.
