Phil Jones looks set to finally become a Man Utd player on Monday; as his current club Blackburn and the Red Devils finally come to an agreement on the true valuation of the hot prospect. United had offered £16 million for the player, but there had been some unrest on the Blackburn board who considered the valuation derisory.
In the current contract of the player, there was a minimum fee release clause for £16 million that Man Utd had invoked.
However, lawyers of Blackburn Rovers were apparently surprised that United were able to immediately match that figure without speaking to the club themselves.
According to reports, a transfer fee will be agreed on Monday in the region of £20 million, and then Phil Jones will finally become a Manchester United player.
