3 month ban for Scolari

3 month ban for Scolari

04 October 2007 - 18:53

Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari's appeal against a four-match ban has been partially reduced to three months by European football governing body UEFA on Thursday.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Man Utd serious about signing Rafael Leao
  • The Brazilian had been banned for four matches by UEFA's Control and Disciplinary Body for lashing out at Serbian player Ivica Dragutinovic with his fist after a hot-tempered Euro 2008 qualifer in Lisbon on September 12.

The final month is actually a suspension, which means that Scolari will only serve two months of his ban. Scolari will stil face a 12,000 EUR fine.
