Stoke out of Sturridge race?

30 June 2011 - 01:15

Stoke City have been ruled out of the race for forward Danny Sturridge. The news comes after Chelsea put a 20m GBP price tag on the striker.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Stoke had been hoping to bring Sturridge to the Britannia Stadium next season and were preparing a 5m GBP offer, however it seems that Chelsea were looking for four times more than that offer.

Andre Villas-Boas, the new Chelsea boss, has revealed that Sturridge may have a more important role to play in the Chelsea first team next year.
