Swansea make Vela loan offer

Swansea have made a loan offer for Arsenal striker Carlos Vela. Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger had previously hinted that there was a future at the Emirates for the Mexican international.

However, Swansea boss Brendan Rogers has offered to pay Vela's full salary this year should the Gunners decide to offload the player.



Wenger wants to see if Nicklas Bendtner quits the club before deciding to accept Swansea's offer.



Vela had a largely unsuccessful loan spell at West Brom last year.
