Carra expects busy Liverpool summer

Carra expects busy Liverpool summer

03 July 2011 - 04:55

Jason Carragher expects that Kenny Dalglish will again be dipping into the transfer market and bringing new players to Liverpool this summer. Liverpool have already spent £20m on Jordan Henderson, who arrived from Sunderland; but have been linked with several other midfielders in recent weeks as well.

  • Liverpool have been linked with Wolfsburg star Diego, Aston Villa midfielder Stewart Downing and Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam, amongst others, and many believe that Dalglish will start to get busy in the market in mid July during pre-season.

Jamie Carragher is looking forward to playing with his new team mates and expects there to be a few more arriving this month.

"It's going to be great to have most of the players around from the start of pre-season," Carragher told liverpoolfc.tv.

"That will make a big difference. It can be difficult with the preparations when everyone comes back in dribs and drabs.

"It's good for the manager to have everyone around and it means after a decent pre-season we should be ready to start the season.

"It will be great to see all the lads again and I'm sure there will be a few new faces coming in before the transfer window closes."
