Fulham complete the signing of John Heitinga
Fulham have completed the signing of Dutch defender John Heitinga from Everton for an undisclosed fee.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a switch away from the Toffees since the start of the winter transfer window, and had earlier rejected a transfer to West Ham United.
Heitinga was pleased at joining the West London club and is now looking forward to his first game.
"I'm really pleased to get the move completed and I'm looking forward to playing my first game," the former Everton man said. "I think it's a good move for myself and I'm looking forward to meeting my teammates. I've spoken already with René Meulensteen and I think it's the right club for me."
Heitinga notched 140 appearances for the Toffees since his move from Atletico Madrid in 2009.
