Manchester United ready £15m bid for Premier League midfielder
Manchester United are reportedly readying an opening bid of around £15m to secure the signature of Sean Longstaff from Newcastle United this summer.
The Red Devils recently secured their second summer signing in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka after they agreed on a £50m package with Crystal Palace.
According to The Mail, the Mancunian giants are set to strengthen the squad further during the ongoing transfer window and Longstaff has been identified as the next target.
It is further added that the club will make a bid in the region of £15m for the 21-year-old midfielder, though the Magpies are said to value their graduate at around £25m.
United have shown a keen interest in pursuing young British talents this summer and they have landed the signature of Daniel James in addition to Wan-Bissaka this month.
Longstaff only recently penned a new long-term deal with the Magpies but it is suggested that the departure of manager Rafael Benitez could tempt him to take up the tempting challenge at Old Trafford.
