Frank Lampard reacts after Chelsea's draw at Bournemouth
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that he has mixed emotions following the club's 2-2 Premier League draw against Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Blues had the chance to register back-to-back league wins for the first time since November but they failed to do so as they settled for a share of the spoils at the Vitality Stadium.
The west London side had the majority of possession and chances during the course of the game but their lack of cutting edge in the final third combined with some average defending contributed to the disappointing result.
Speaking in the post-match press conference, Lampard said: "It’s possibly mixed emotions. You can be happy with the reaction and the fact that we score to draw but over the whole game I think we should win it."
With the stalemate, the Blues have a four-point advantage over fifth-placed Manchester United but that could be reduced to just one, should the Red Devils get the better of Everton on the road on Sunday.
Chelsea will be in FA Cup action against Liverpool in midweek. The Blues reached the fifth round of the competition after getting the better of Nottingham Forest and Hull City.
