Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Ponte Preta goalkeeper Ivan Quaresma da Silva.

The 22-year-old is cited by the Catalans as the long-term successor to Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.

According to Sport, Barca are eyeing a deal worth €4.5m for the young Brazilian star, who is also said to be watched by Serie A giants AC Milan.

After progressing through the youth ranks of  Ponte Preta, a second-tier Brazilian outfit, Ivan made his senior debut in 2016 and has since made 60 appearances.

He has also represented the Brazil national team at U-23 level.

Meanwhile, Barca’s first choice Ter Stegen remains unperturbed with his contract renewal, stating that he wants to concentrate on the games.

The German shot-stopper also desires to continue his journey with the Blaugrana as his current deal expires in 2022.

Barca have two reserve keepers in Inaki Pena and Neto, both of whom have struggled for playing time due to the excellence of Ter Stegen.

The 27-year-old has been robust between the sticks, producing a string of impressive displays this season.
