Berbatov eyes Spurs exit door

Dimitar Berbatov is heading out of Tottenham after talks with his club over a new contract have broken down twice. Berbatov wants to leave Spurs in order to play in the Champions League, according to his agent.
"He is 27 years old and he needs to win trophies," Emile Dantchev, his agent, said. "It is time he was transferred to a club that regularly plays in the Champions League. There are seven to eight clubs in Europe interested and we know them well."
There are apparently more than seven clubs interested, with Chelsea, Manchester United and AC Milan all linked with the Bulgarian hitman.
The chances of a team picking up Berbatov on the cheap are very low however, with Juande Ramos recently suggesting that over £30 million would be required to sign the forward.
"I think a club would have to break the British transfer record to sign Berbatov," Ramos said. "It's normal that they would have to pay such an amount. There are very few players of his class."
