Man Utd close to signing Bundesliga defender?

Jeremie Frimpong news

Frimpong to Man Utd soon?

Manchester United could be close to signing Bayer Leverkusen defender Jeremie Frimpong, according to Kicker.

Leverkusen have experienced a dreadful season in the Bundesliga, and they are prepared to sell their top assets this summer.

Frimpong is one of those that could head for the exit door and Kicker claim that the club prefer to sell him at the earliest.

The Dutchman has had a fascinating season with Leverkusen, bagging five goals and five assists from 26 appearances.

He has excelled from the right-back and right wing-back positions and would be a superb signing for the Red Devils.

United have been monitoring him for a long period of time. Erik ten Hag is reportedly a huge admirer of his playing style.

He could be available for around €25m this summer. The fee can be considered as a bargain as he is in his prime.

Frimpong has also been linked with Chelsea in the past, but the London giants recently landed Malo Gusto from Lyon.
