Chelsea ready to re-sign fan favourite?

Chelsea are prepared to re-sign Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer next summer, according to Marca.
The Germany international joined Los Blancos on a free transfer from the Blues three years ago, and he has since won plenty of silverware.
His current deal expires in June next year and as things stand, Los Blancos are yet to negotiate suitable terms for a new long-term contract.
Hence, he could walk away on a Bosman deal next summer and reports claim that Chelsea could be tempted to bring him back to England.
Rudiger will turn 33 before next season, but he continues to remain in the peak of his career and would benefit the west London outfit.
The Blues have made good progress under manager Enzo Maresca, but there continues to be a weak point in the heart of the defence.
Chelsea have been guilty of conceding plenty of goals and chances this campaign, and Rudiger could provide much-needed solidity.
Rudiger was a huge fan favourite among the Blues' faithful and his return to the club would surely be met with a good reception.
